Since the implementation of sub-title 'D' landfill regulations and more stringent procedures regarding EPA "clean-ups", Bruce Flora has been performing all field and office related tasks involved in environmental remediation projects, waste facility openings, construction, on-going operations and landfill closures. The outline below states where we feel our expertise lies and what differentiates Flora Surveying Associates from other survey firms:
► Our Company maintains a full understanding of governmental regulations pertaining to remediation projects, landfill construction and required record documentation. Flora Surveying Associates eliminates the need for a “learning curve” that would impede construction or documentation, which could result in poor field decisions, causing project delays.
►
The surveying equipment and software used in
Flora Surveying
Associates is
“state-of-the-art.” By combining our abilities with the most current
technologies we provide solutions to meet and exceed our clients’ goals
accurately and cost-effectively. Our personnel are 40 Hr. OSHA trained and
experienced. They are always ready to meet the most challenging of
projects.
► Flora Surveying Associates is knowledgeable in remediation and construction economics. We realize the importance of a fast-paced construction schedule during landfill openings, operations, and site remediation. For example, the time between permit issuing and receiving the first load of refuse at a new solid waste facility must be as short as possible. This generates income to offset expenses to date. On-going control of operations maintains proper placement of refuse while conforming to regulations. During site remediation our survey teams understand that many contractors can be involved and a commitment to keeping the project moving is critical.
►
Flora
Surveying Associates
works to the clients’ schedule. We are very familiar with “doing
whatever it takes” on a project-to-project basis. We build special
relationships with our clients through mutual respect, honesty and
fairness.
► When deadlines
are tight
Flora Surveying
Associates
has the ability to perform data processing on-site via laptop
computers and/or mobile engineering offices. Field changes,
adjustments, hard copies of ‘as-built’ conditions, are prepared
upon completion of the field survey and not days later in the main
office. This reduces construction delays while decisions are
being made.
► The data
processed on site is structured in a manner to build a database that
forms a foundation for the final drawings. This method reduces turn
around time in as-built record drawings for final certification
reports, volume of material computations, leachate recirculation
settlement documentation, compaction studies, earthworks mass haul
diagrams (isopach maps) and volumetric surveying for current or
projected airspace.
With our experience and performance record in the solid waste and environmental remediation industry, Flora Surveying Associates eliminates survey-related problems during critical construction and operation periods while providing the client with the highest quality product on the market today.
